Fattest tires?

I sent this to Sharkey, but I would appreciate any input. Thanks :-)

You wrote - "Heya bud that was with my goldie BBS... those were 2 generations ago and had the incorrect offset for clearance. The new ones work a-ok and we've got 3 people already with the new BBS 12 inch (with the correct offset) and 335 RA-1s a-ok. There is some _slight_ rubbing on the fender liner depending upon how low you are..."

I was wondering. I have GT2 wheels on a C4S with rolled rear fenders. I am currently running 315-30 rear and 235-40 front tires. I would like 335-30 and 245-40 tires. It looks like there's room (stock suspension), but I would LOVE to hear from someone who has done it before.

The GT2 offsets are 45mm on 12x18 rear wheels and 40mm on 8.5x18 front wheels.

Any stories?

FWIW, a sales rep at Fikse said that the C4S can run the 245 on the 8.5 rim with no problems up front.

Thanks All:
Like Jason says, it all depends on the offsets.
Is anyone else running 18x12 with 45 mm offsets (GT2)?

gt2 wheels fit just fine on the c4s cuz it's the same damn body.

just make sure, again, that you get proper fitting wheels like me.

Hey Benjamin:
You really don't have to repeat what you've already written (it makes you sound really stupid). You could however mention your offsets. If your "slammed" with "315s", then a stock C4S rear suspension (RoW/C4S-US springs and shocks) should be able to handle a little more...
P.S. Your rear spoiler looks awsome! Is that the bolt-in that replaces the stock wing without replacing the stock engine cover? I think that's the perfect option for the C4S to keep the reflector strip between the brake lights.

Wow: 20x12 must look great! I race mine so even 19 inch wheels are a problem, but I sure would like to see pics! Can you tell me the offset? Thanks

Wow maybe you should pick up a copy, newbie.

I built and sold the wheels to him.

Damon:
Thanks for the book selection, my apologies Benjamin; I was just trying to help...
Does your post show that Benjamin's 19x12 wheels have 48mm offsets?
This would be perfect!
If Benjamins C4S is 2" lower than my stock rear, then the arc from my moment arm (diff to edge of tire) will allow an additional 5mm and my rolled fenders will allow an additional 8mm. Since the GT2 wheels have only 45mm offsets, the combined tolerances allow for an equivalent spacing of 16mm. Since the 335 has only 10mm extra on each side, it seems as though they will not rub the outside, and there's at least 16mm of tolerance on the inside. So I think Ill be OK, if indeed, Benjamins rear fenders are not rolled and his tires don't rub at all. Does this sound right to you?
If so, and you're from The Tire Rack...
Thanks!
