Question '02 vs '01

OK. So I've targeted an '02 Cab w/at least PSM to be my first choice to replace my 2000 E39 540. The question I have is will I kick myself if I find an '01 and buy it versus holding off for the right '02? Let me also add that I am beyond **** when it comes to the condition of my cars and stupid little things that could impact my decision.
Any thoughts would be apprecicated.. Thanks

Aside from 20 more HP, a glass rear window (nice to have in a cab) and a glove box, there were HUGH improvements to the structural integrity of the car for '02. They may look the same, but the chassis is significantly improved.

if you get an 02 make sure it already has xenons as there is no retro-fit kit...

go for the 02

There are a bunch of differences between 1999-2001 vs. 2002+ model 996s. I like the look of the 02 better, but all of that aside, the 02 will still have warranty coverage; the 01 will be out of the warranty period shortly.

I'm very happy for you! I like it when people take the plunge and go for it all.

Sound like you need to buy an 04' or perhaps an 05'. I once dealt with an super **** person trying to buy my E46 M3. He "finicked" about every single thing, even the fact the the tires no longer have to little nubs when they were new. Needless to say, I had to give this guy the boot out of my garage. My point is, if you're gonna be ****, then buy a new one. I must say, I too am very very **** about my cars, this is why I only buy NEW. The only used car I bought was back in college. 97 honda prelude with a gang of miles.
