Do you guys recommend the clear bra?

I just changed my bumper to a gt3 front bumper and wanted to protect it with a clear bra. Do you guys recommend clear bras or is it just a waste of time? Are there any reasonable installers in San Diego area? Any feedback is appreciated!!!

My has been great. I track the car a bit and it is protected pretty well from the bra. It may or may not look that good depending on the color of the car. I have silver, so it looks real good. I have seen it on white cars and it doesn't look good at all.

If you have a brand new front then it's an excellent choice. My front end painted a year ago and now it's full of little holes.

The market price is vary from $500 to $800 depend on how much work involved.

Just make sure that it is a pre-cut unit. Cutting on the car, more than just trimming, is a *very* delicate exercise and few guys get it right without cutting into the paint. Happened to a friend's Cobra. Not a happy camper.

I had the pre-cut installed on my ///M Roadster and was very pleased. Once I break down and respray the nose of my 911 it is going on there.

Pre-fit clear bra

Does anyone know where I can find the pre-cut pieces?

Its a must I end up doing mine 2 month later after driving on a new paved road that cause some pretty good marks.

Contact Doza Designs, Bhane (310) 613-3978 he's one of the best of the best here in So Cal.

Had it done immediately after I bought the car. (smartest thing I ever did).

I will-say-though, that on white (like mine), you may get some "dirt" caught behind some edges on the lowere bumper area. Mine has the factory aero kit, and the lower front catches it. (And I think its because it is like a wedged area where the air doesn't have a great place to escape).

After many a mountain drive..........few road trips with bugs-o-plenty, no doubt (especially with white) I'd not be to happy w/o it. (Car looks perfect still!)

I highly recommend against going with the pre-cut only. Get a good, reliable, recommended installer, and have them do a custom job on the trunk and front bumper. The pre-cut kits for the hood and the bumper end up looking horrible, tons of lines visible. I had a custom fit job done by Premier, and used the pre-cut for the headlights, fenders, and mirrors, and custom fit the hood and bumper.

Premier is based out of the bay area, but they do road tours several times per year. They did mine in San Diego, and did a very nice job. http://www.premiermobilegroup.com/

I just had my car done today. Went with VentureShield on bumper, hood and mirrors. The installer did a great job. Took him most of the day to do this. Paid $350.
I have the 3M stuff on the rear fenders and its turning slightly yellow. I am considering taking it off and replacing with VentureShield.
