should be all right, but why not go as wide as possible and go for 11s in the back on the narrow body?

And why would you go 275 rears, that means you are 10mm more narrow than stock???? If you get a custom fitment of the SSR's, get 19x11 et 63-67, and run 295/30/19...I am running those rear sizes on my narrow body.

Newport... you've responeded to tire and wheel questions so many times, you might as well post your response in your sig (or at least your wheel / tire info)!

LOL

yes i know....first I was known for the PSS9 posts, now wheels and tires...lol...it just is a pet peeve of mine to see guys with 275s on 10 and 11" rims for no reason.....especially when you can get 295s and 305s on there with no problem...I even hear 315s will work......I also did a TON of research regarding wheels and fitment before I got my rims. I had a mini truck when I was 18 and I saved up like months to get some chrome american racing wheels....I asked the company I bought them from time and time again before I purchased if they would fit without rubbing...they kept saying they would....well they rubbed....so I learned a huge lesson, do the research and tell the so called experts what you want, and not let them sell you something.....

One of the main reason people go with 275 is the tire diameter... it retains the closest diameter to stock design which is 25in. Here are some samples:

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference

Stock:
225/40-18 3.5in 12.5in 25.1in 78.8in 804 3.4%
265/35-18 3.7in 12.7in 25.3in 79.5in 797 -0.8%

Popular Alternates
275/30-19 3.2in 12.7in 25.5in 80.1in 791 0.0%
285/30-18 3.4in 12.4in 24.7in 77.7in 815 0.0%
295/30-19 3.5in 13.0in 26.0in 81.6in 777 0.4%

I have the size in bold and if I understand this correctly, my speedometer and odometer will not be any difference than stock (mine being a '99 C2), is that correct?

Speed, did Damon (tire rack) recommended 275 with your OZ?, yes the car was designed for a 25" diam tire... The speedo has something to do with it, but more important is the percentage of error with the front tire vs rear tire so that ABS, PSM etc works properly.

Yes he did. I am thinking about going with 285's on my next set just because there is room, if there is a 285/30 PS2 that is.

I do not have ABS or PSM on my car but having the fronts line-up with the rears is cool I guess.

I am open to suggestions but I already have wheels I am not getting rid of.

In 04 the stock size in the rear was 285/30/18...265 was used 99-01 as stock.
