I've heard that there was a TSB that was suppossed to address just this with a new antenna. The car went in last night and today I'm very pleased to state that the remote range went at least 10 fold. It is just as good as my camry. I've tried it as far as 30 yards and it still works!
Did you pay somebody to do this?

I'm no Tim the tool man Taylor, but this was easssssy.

BTW guys, don't cut right way. Follow my directions and try that first. I don't need to have 60 feet of range. I was just getting annoyed that I could stand next to the car and it didn't work. Now I get 30-40 feet, depending... Works great. The remote is a lot more reliable now. If that doesn't work out for you, you can always get to cutting. Remember, measure twice and cut once. This is a 100K car
