Got depth?

I know kirby is loving rejex, but I just had my car detailed with klasse All in One, Klasse sealant glaze and Menzernas final touch polish.

This pictures are reduced from 4.0 megapixels to 800X600 and compressed at least 25%, so realize how much better the real pictures are and how much better it is in real life!

Check out the depth of the reflections(to me usually only a black car can get this deep) and overall shine. I'm sold!

Is that a mirror or my car?

another amazing reflection

Look at the depth

Can you see the clear bra

Nice tree in the hood

5 of me in the wheel spokes

That looks Sweet! Very niceeeeeeeeee! That is amazing depth!

I just like Rejex because it's easy to use and is a one step process. also, helps me to never have to wash the car.

The car looks great! You have to love the shine and reflection of a polymer. To add even more depth, try topping the whole car with a pure white carnuaba wax. It makes a large difference on every color.

That is one amazing shine! I have to say, though, having looked at posts from numerous people after detailing their cars, it seems as though one can use almost any product (polymer + carnuba) to achieve similar results. My current regimen includes 3M Polish, Meguiar's Gold Class liquid, and top it off with Pinnacle's Souveran wax. For my black car, this makes the color look wet and deep with an incredible mirror surface. BTW, add me to the list of Rejexers. I started Rejexing my wheels and fenders for now. I may extend this to the rest of the car. I like the idea of a single application/single coat...

It's hard to compare pictures on the internet. I am sure they all look the same because shrunk and compressed they all end up looking close. Also I am sure the camera and photographer can play a part too.

I previously used Zaino, then RejeX and now just tried this Klasse Menzerna combo. I can say that after seeing them all in person, this is the best my seal grey car has ever looked. Better than the day I picked it up!

RejeX didn't seem to last for me even after letting it cure a full 12 hours. My last application was before I went on a 3000 mile road trip and it was gone after the first time I washed my car, and it did NOT help with brake dust, or bug removal. I also put it on my windshield and did not notice the bugs or crap to be easier to remove. RejeX does not shine up as good as Zanio or the combo I have on now. Like you plasticman I liked RejeX for what it seemed to offer, but I've given it a few tries now and it doesn't seem to last, help with bugs or brake dust, or give a killer shine. Not that I expected it to shine up, but I would have traded shine and depth for protection and ease of cleaning.

Everybody has their favorite wax or polymer, and at some point it becomes a personal decision. After 15 years of using Zymol, I tried One Grand Blitz wax a year ago, and I'm sold! Goes on and off really easy, and lasts a very long time. And it has a great shine.

I've used RejeX for my windshield, wheels and exhaust tips for a year now, but I've never used it on the entire painted surfaces of my car. The reason is that Blitz buffs off so much easier than RejeX does, and I can't imagine RejeX lasting so much longer than Blitz to be worth the extra buffing off effort. Hey--to each their own!

Here is a Rejex Shine

Took these pictures last week, the car was Rejexed in September. Even Rejexed the Bra.

Everybody has their favorite way to shine!

Damn...Kirby posts about RejeX and everyone is jumping on the band wagon.

I post about an alternative and I get back "everybody has their favorite wax or way to shine"

Interesting...What's kirby putting in the water around here LOL!

BTW saying the car was done in september isn't a good way to show it's lasting power. For all I know you drove it 100 miles since then. Also location plays a big difference. Weather and crap on the road is a little different over here on the north atlantic shorline.

Go drive for 3000 miles in a week and then two do days of laps at your nearest track like I did and then show me how it looks!

OOOOHHH, so now you did not "just have the car detailed" as stated in your opening post, but you had it detailed weeks ago and waited until all those miles and 2 track days to take pictures.... and you never even washed it (I'm just playin wit cha).

At first, I did not beleive all the claims about Rejex... so I understand your hesitation... how could it possibly be that good and do all that... there must be a downside!?

Although I have not personally used every polish and wax made, but I probably have used hundreds since '72 when I bought my first "nice" car and have direct knowledge of many other people who have also used hundreds of such products.

At the moment, I happen to like Crystalguard on my black MB paint, and right now I am also liking the NXT Akkurat used on my AS C4S. HOWEVER, REJEX really does what everyone says it does... and that is to shine like a ***** and nothing wants to stick to it! (BTW, I do not think Rejex is shinier than Crystalguard, but the non stick aspects of rejex are far superior.)

My MB has Rejex just on the wheels and after 1 month of driving (about 3,200 miles for me) with NO washing the brake dust on the wheels look as if it has been 1 DAY since the wash. The stuff really is amazing.

So, I'll go out on a limb and say that anyone will need to use so much more soap and so much more pressure/ scrubbing to remove bugs, dirt, etc. from ANY waxed or polished or otherwise sealed, polymered car as compared to a Rejex'd car, that the REJEX will far outlast the wax or polish.

I am not knocking any product, as many are very-very good, BUT so far there really is nothing that can come close to Rejex from an ease of application / shine / non-stick / easy release / durability viewpoint.

I didn't mean show me all the bugs and a filthy car. I meant show me how it removes them easier, or wash it without reapplying it and show me how great it looks after.

Like I said I used RejeX. It doesn't last and it doesn't help removing stuff. Brake dust and bugs did not "slide off" they were a PITA to remove, and I even had stains in my clear bra that did not come out when I washed it 3 times on the trip or when I returned home. Luckily my detailer was able to remove them. The RejeX was gone after the first washing at a do it yourself high pressure car wash. That to me is not lasting and it certainly did not help with removing the dirt. And FYI I washed and RejeXed the car with a fresh coat the night before we left and it cured for 12+ hours. I also never felt RejeX was shiny.

Seems like all the Cali people ganging up on me. I am guessing your weather out there makes it last, because you do not need to wash the car with the same frequency that I do.

In fact, every post here is from Cali except mine and TCM.....

Between September and when this picture was taken, the car has been on trips from the Bay area to Las Vegas, Death Valley, once to Yosemite, and twice to LA for a total of 10971 miles. The Las Vegas/Death Valley trip was 1500 miles in 3 days. All of these trips were at speeds in excess of 80 mph, with many miles in excess of 110.

While organic waxes and coating do provide excellent short term results, coatings designed for the aerospace industry have far better lasting power when used in light duty environments such as automotive surface protection.

The hardness of the water that is used to wash a car, and the amount of dirt on the car will also affect how long a coating stays effective. The harder the water that is used to wash a car, and the amount of grime that is removed will impact the lasting power of any surface coating , Rejex included.

I use soft water to wash the car, and use a pressure washer to get off road grime. By washing the car this way, the abrasive effects of washing are minimized. By using Rejex, the amount of road grime that sticks to the car is minimized as well.

Wow you must not have any bugs out that way.

Where did all the bugs and road crap and brake dust go? I hardly believe none stuck as I just did the same test with my car and it doesn't hold true.

The front bra and wheels are too clean to have 10,000 miles, and no washing.

I don't care what wax you use, NOTHING will prevent those two items from getting dirty.

Of course the car would get dirty, but the bra catches the majority of the bugs, and when I would be on the road, I would just go out in the morning with a wet towel, and wipe off the bugs and dirt off the front of the car. When I got home, to restore the good looks all I have to do is rinse off the rest of the car.

The point is, that I applied the surface coating in September, and even though the car has been driven many miles, all I have to do is to rinse it off after a road trip, and it still looks as good and the coating is still as effective as when I coated it last fall.

If I wasn't SUPER LAZY, I would probably use other products that require a few more steps, but would probably give it a better shine and depth. Then apply Rejex over that as the last step.

But as it is...The REAL reason I used Rejex is because I'm SUPER LAZY! and it does a good enough job for me. I have not once washed the car since I bought it.
