Bypass Pipe Dyno....
Bypass Pipe Dyno....
Yep, you heard it here. I knew the very second I ran my SC C2 with bypass pipes, there was a substantial loss of torque. I hit Jotech Motorsports to run a dyno and there was a 39lb loss of torque. Hate to put this out there without a dyno sheet but there printer cable had a short and there was no way to get a printout. I removed the bypass and went back to the Tri-Flows, then ran a 402hp/362tq.
I did love the sound while cruising through the local watering holes but would much rather have the power any day of the week.
Want bypass pipes:::::::::::$90.00 shipped!

39lbs loss of torque!??!?! Is this because of the supercharger??? Call me stupid but I have bypass pipes for about 15K miles now and I can tell you my car runs better than most. Im assuming(even though I find it hard to believe) that this is only an issue with a supercharged car.

Loss could be the SC but hear me out.....

Maybe gone already.....
I will let you know first if local guy does not call me back.
I hear your possible viewpoint and do agree that there very may well be a difference in TQ loss with an SC. I will tell you the car did breath better and felt as though there may have been smoother on top end but all things being said and all cars act differently, mine lost torque and I knew it immediately. Regardless of SC or not, I promise you, if you hit a dyno you will definitely see a loss somewhere. These engines are designed to have more back pressure than straight pipes. Given there is a difference in say a Cup Car but those guys are living life at the top of the power band and that is a completely different arena.
Damn, Well kind of over the whole bleeding ears thing anyway lol. So either way I am getting mufflers and sport cats in the near future. : )
