Good or Bad?

First of all let me say hi to the Community!

Ive been in the market for a 996 for ahwile now, and i came across a really '99...very well kept. The owner is letting it go for a really cheap price. The Body has about 110k miles on it , but the motor only has 18k miles on it. I was looking for you guys expertise, i dont know if a replaced motor is a good or bad thing. The car runs like a brand new car, it doesnt has any weird noises or anything like that. the owner said he some complications with the previous motor, so it was replaced under his warranty. Also, what else should i look for when buying a porsche?

Thanks ahead of time

If it's replaced by Porsche of America and the owner can provide detail documents. Also, check VIN with Carfax for history. Have a local Porsche shop to check mechanical and body/frame.

have it checked out...do a pre purchase inspection...nothing wrong with a new engine, actually a new engine is better than he original engine as it has all the engine updates.

+2 on a thorough PPI by a reputable company - It is well worth the money to do this.
Get that engine swap paperwork and make sure it is in order.

Good luck!

As long as the engine is replaced by a dealer and no body - frame damage (indy shop) then you're good to go.

While you're at it and you do buy it, buy and Extended Warranty for it.
