OEM wheel bolts

I purchased a set of wheels spacers from FVD that came with the longer bolts. From reading on the H&R site for the spacers, it says you need to take the tapered piece that attaches to the oem wheel bolt, and put them on the newer longer bolts...

I was looking that the tapered piece this morning and it looks like they pinch the edge so it won't come off the wheel bolt itself....so is there a trick to getting the tapered piece off the bolt? or is it a matter of unpinching the edges so that it can freely move over the threads on the bolt....

Thanks in advance,
Will

I never took them off. Why don't you just sell the ones you have and buy the longer chromed bolts from www.boothedesign.com The collars are already attached.

I had to go thru this exercise, the easiest way for me was to use a table grinder and grind some of the excess metal, then they twist right off.

Hope that helps...
