FIRST MOD****PSS10 Coilovers Installed
Jason,
Glad you got the install finally. It looks great. Would there be a reason why you feel that the droplinks from Bilstein would not be good enough to keep?
I see your specs are different. Interesting to see it. At least we can look at different specs and hopefully get feedback on each one.
When are you taking it out and testing it?

GT2 could be your "weekend" car!
see you soon!
Everyone's going to think that you're listening to E-40 for the next few days..."Gas, Brake, Dip! Gas, Break, Dip!"
Enjoy the suspension, best thing you can ever do a tuner car in my opinion.

Let me answer that. The Tarett Engineering links have a steel ball instead of some sort of plastic that is found in the stock, Bilstein, and H&R links. The Tarett is considered more robust and durable. Jason had to use the H&R links on the front temporarily until Tarett comes up with a link for the front. It is expected they'll be available in a few weeks.
Our thinking behind this was it would better safe than sorry. If the links were to fail it most likely would happen out in the middle of nowhere, and although such a failure wouldn't be catastrophic, it would be very inconvenient.
BTW my car gets the treatment probably next week.

I'll wait for the soon to be released oem x73-pasm suspension. The sturdy drop links are not a bad idea if you track alot, although I'd do gt3 links. If just street +/-, you'll never really see the advantage I'm afraid.

Compare that with the Tarett droplink.

I had a chance to drive my 997TT briefly again in the pouring rain earlier this morning. Not very fast but I was able to experience the differences between what I remember the stock setup to the new setup now. I can tell you that the new setup feels much more direct. Previously it seemed like there was a "cushion" between the steering wheel and the driver's seat. Now when in sport mode, I can literally feel everything but the funny thing about that is that it's not too harsh. It feels perfect! A perfect compromise between a roadgoing sports car and a full on race car.
If you've been on the fence about getting the upgrade, let me tell you, it's time to make the jump!

What's the point? These Bilstein Damptronics will probably be cheaper than those and 10x better. Bilstein probably will be the one that develops the upcoming X73 suspension too. I'd suggest that you get these Damptronics instead. As for the GT3 links, see what Larry said earlier on and look at the pictures I posted. I'll bet you that the GT3 links use plastic "*****" too.
i just put them on my car as well and boy does it feel good. i went driving this weekend and did everything from high speeds to sharp corners. handled like a dream. enjoy the car.
Larry and Jason - please make a video. Put some drifting in it, high speed spiral ramp drifting and some Hot Japanese Girls in School Girl Outfits to wave the start flag.
Call it the Fast and the Serious
Bellevue Drift..
In all seriousness those links looks like some serious equipment
Umm your red calipers are starting to turn yellow. Better get that checked out. Mine are still red and I will swap you because thats the kind of guy that I am.
SurgeonTT - no offense but does Porsche pay you to promote Porsche products?
