I have no problems in Florida rain or shine, but I think this heat thing is important. I noticed some slippage now with 15000K miles, rear tires slipping a bit. I did also notice when I ordered two new rear P2s from tirerack, the sheet said these tires were not for use in cold temperature climates. P2tires for traction must be hot.
