Either you get compressed in a cage at 130mph, or you slide across the pavement in a leather suit.

Yeah if your lucky you slide across the pavement, they who arent that fortune meet the iron cage front to front. I know where I would prefer to be then.

I've been known for flying down the highway at 163mph with my GSXR600 topped out. Can't say I'm too proud of it. But I've done it.

I dont think so. Fast laps at Laguna Seca on a Superbike are around 1:23 and a Porsche GT3 Cup car is around 1:34.

Wrong, Fast lap of a GT3 cup car is 1:23 same as a Superbike or a MotoGp. But if you want to have a better comparison, MotoGP being the pinnacle of bike racing and take LMP1( Just to be fair) the LMP 1 is 10 seconds faster.

Yeah right, and when sliding, you're not going to hit something???I'll take the chance in the cage anytime.

The LPM 2 RS Spyder is even faster than the LMP 1 Audi R10 on this track. The Spyder qualified at 1:10.5 and the R10 1:11.2.

Well, when you F**k up at 130 on the street....chances are 99.99% that you're dead no matter which one you're on.....

While we are on bike vs. sports cars track times, does anyone know any 'ring times for superbikes? I recall a post where the GT2 was run and a Honda 1000cc bike, both had pro drivers and the Honda's time was around 8:02 while the GT2 was around 7:34.

I wasn't comparing motogp I was comparing a superbike time vs a gt3 cup car time. A LMP1 car is in a league of its own cant compare the two.
