Upgraded Nav-tv

My NAV-TV unit was replaced on Saturday. My navigation screen read "no cd changer" about half of the time. My installer said that there was a recent upgrade software introduced. So they changed it out. So far so good.

Version

Do you know the version # of the new release? ...or can you check your head unit and post the v? I just finished installing mine, and I would love to know if I am running the latest revision before reassembling the car.

THNX!

Nav-ty

My installer overnighted this unit Friday and installed it Saturday. There is a sticker on the back, it was dated 11-30-07. This is the latest upgrade. The installer wasn't sure if the unit would be available in time for overnight carrier. He called me about 1030 Saturday morning to tell me that he received it and that it was available for installation.

Hmmm...

Interesting; I guess I'll need to power mine up and check the revision. Odd they would require replacement of the unit as appose to allowing a flash sequence to be managed via the RJ-45 interface.
I have submitted a post to their new forum to discover what upgrade paths are available; I'll post back here if I get response...

So, it turns out the OPi-P systems are not field upgradeable; however, not only is that functionality planned, but Nav-TV is honoring returns for upgraded units ( I am assuming there is some qualifying criteria, such as date of sale and vendor authorization, etc ). At any rate, the team at Nav-TV was very responsive and keen on making the support experience as fluid as possible. They seem to be good folks... marc-
