No more TT's after 2008?
first I've heard or read any about this.
As mentioned, 911 turbo is Porsche's crowning achievement.
probably just talking about the 998 change coming up in ~2 years with some added salesman fluff..

My dealer mentioned the same thing. After producing the turbo for a few years, they will stop for a year or two to let demand build again. He thought they would make it for another year or two and then stop for a period of time. So get one while you can!
Sounds like shiesty sales tactics to me. Take one bit of info and exaggerate it to get someone to buy it now. I've heard those lines before myself. There will be a 911 TT, it's still the flag ship, so to speak.
This is my first porsche (young guy) and I dont know the whole history (YET) but correct me if im wrong but is thier a Turbo available by Porsche from say 1980 every year up until 2008? Do they not skip a year....
From my understanding they introduce the new model 997 then next year the 997s then the next year 997tt all of them are out for a couple years then they stop making for a few years? Could the face lift 08 997tt be the last and then on to the next?
Dont flame me im just askinga question others may also have

Guy's - This may not be completely out of the realm of possibilities!
Have a look at this post on another forum that I belong to.

If in fact Porsche are working on a V8 engine for GT racing, they must have a road going version of this car. This is so they are able to homologate the car for GT racing.
Currently, this is all speculation.

Actually that would be rather convenient, no getting undressed to take a dump. Although the smell would be in a much closer proximity to the face, making those extra purid days unbearable for some.

I do hope Porsche doesnt make a car just for GT racing unless it's GT1, they cant make a different car for them all, they'll have to use something on the wide market.

Sales line
Sounds like a fairly pathetic sales line to me...
I have a friend that works at an Ad Agency in Europe (on the Porsche account) who has told me they have already been briefed to develop concepts for the "998" Turbo.
Wouldn't buy that BS!

H8 (horizontal 8) that was tageted at +500hp NA (normally aspirated)
Think about it, a 911 with the engine moved slightly forward 2 cyl
some where between the Cayman and the current 911 engine placement.
Less % of weight in the rear for more neutral balance. Sounds plausable
But, I did not hear it would be replacing the H6 twin Turbo.
I thought the NA would be in the GT3 and a 998TT would be H8TT
with 650hp-700hp easy. Its a thought.
