Ventureshield coverage is complete!

I just got my 997TT back from Metropolitan Detail. They're the master when it comes to applying clear bra coverage! Very happy with the results of their work. I had my hood covered with the clearcoat Ventureshield a couple months ago. They've finished the job off by doing both front fenders.

They removed my headlights to tuck the clear bra material underneath leaving as little exposed as possible

Where previously I had a line on my fender

Line is now gone

Completely invisible

The clear bra material ends on the base of my windshield

Hood coverage ends here

From my experience with them, I learned that it's very important to find an installer who is experienced with using the material.

I also bought some nice new Tequipment rubber mats from Porsche too.

I didn't know Porsche make their own rubber mats look great!.. Hey Jason do venturesheild make precut pieces for the headlight usually is alittle thicker than those they use on the body.

Ventureshield does offer precut pieces for just about everything however Metropolitan Detail saw fit to modify their pieces slightly to fit their needs. They made some of the pieces larger so that it'd wrap around the edges out of sight. I also believe that the headlights are the same material as the rest of the car. They used to use thicker material on headlights, foglights, etc but it just ends up looking out of place.

Jason...How is your Matrix Micro-Coatings holding up? Did it matter that you had that done prior to extending your VentureShield?

I would imagine that at some point, exotics manufacturers will offer complete film installation as an option. The advantage would of course be that panels have the applications done before they are mounted, thus preventing peeling and visible edges.

On a completely different note, I suddenly got a craving for peanut butter. I shall imediately go to the store and get some skippys.

Jason -

Looks great! Porsche of Arlington installed Clear Shield 3M on my car and it should be in Seattle on the 18th. We agreed they would give me a credit so that I could have gotten the Ventureshield like you suggested so I'm a bit ticked they did the install. But I'm more fired up to actually get the car! I'll leave you a message later next week!

Brad

I think that Lotus has actually started offering clear film as an option for their cars!

Very nice Jason ! The option for Star Shield (paint protection film)on my 05 Lotus Elise is $995. I think it is considered a factory option since the price for the option is printed on the manufacturer window sticker and there is Lotus logo on the film, but it was installed at the port in the US not UK and it is not fully wrapped like yours! I believe the company who makes the film is located in Southern California.
