Check Engine Light - Coolant Temperature

I keep getting this check engine light, and dealer keeps resetting and actually stated that in cold weather they have seen this and it wasn't something to worry about. If true that's great but it's a PITA to drive 20 miles everytime I want to reset this. I would let them "investigate" but my car is way too modded for them not to give me ****. My SA and my original Tech have both left the dealership. The SA went onto some Sotware company and my tech went to another dealer like 100 miles away.

Anyone seen or experienced this? I was told by dealer it was common in 996 Turbos

I drove my 997TT when it was 39*F(really cold for FL) and I didnt get any check engine lights. And it's not normal for it to go off when the temps get low.

Low temps are better for the turbo's anyways....spool up like crazy

But tires are hard as rock.

I drove my 997TT in 7 deg weather...the coldest it's been in my area this season...no CEL. You're dealer just doesn't know what he/she/it is talking about.
