Drop the Park Assist...$530 can be put into the CF trim. Shifter, E-Brake, & "Turbo" on the Center Console. Other than that great build!

If its a Daily Driver I would ot out of the Sport Adaptive Seats. I have the standard seats and they are awesome. They hold me really good from moving around on long corners.

If you want real Sport Seats....Get the '08 GT2 CF seats.....So awesome

Sounds great, almost the same as mine. It is on order for May. The only thing different is the color so I went with the exterior package painted. You can ask for a new spec book from your dealer, it has almost all of the options in it.

Nearly everyone has suggested dropping the park assist.

How tall are you? If you are short, good luck looking behind you...get the park assist. If you are tall...damn you...may you get clocked by a low bridge.

I suggest sticking with the Park Assist. It's fairly inconspicious and invaluable for those inopportune moments where it's hard to tell how far things are from behind. I say keep it.

Park assist is probably dependent on where or what type of parking situations you will be regularly dealing with. I did not get it due to my car not being a DD and I will not put myself in a situation where there will be any doubt as to how close I am to something. I did not think sacrificing the smooth look was worth it for me. My .02.

Ended up adding

Alum/Leather Hand Brake and Shifter
Turbo Logo on Storage Compartment

Removed:
Carbon B Pillar Seat Belt Trim

Got lucky on a build date of Feberuary! Thank you all for your help.

Do you also have these options?

Rear Center Console in Leather
Gear Shift Trim in Leather

These two additions will go well with the turbo logo on storage compartment and will also tie your shift boot leather to the front console.

This is the gear shift trim in leather circled in red

Vantage view showing the shift boot and gear trim together

Why Porsche made this an option is beyond me.

The park assist can be useful, no doubt, but I'm not too fond of how it looks on a 911. I suggest having a look at a 911 with park assist just to make sure you know what you're getting.

Enjoy your new TT and hope the wait goes by quickly.

Jason's right. The center dash looks a little incomplete without option CDZ...When I added it to my order, unfortunately, it pushed my production back 2 freak'n weeks...anyways...it is worth it.

You mean, it looks complete WITH option CDZ. When I changed my color from GT Silver to Cobalt Blue, it pushed my order back a month!

I always like a carbon fiber e-brake handle and shift ****. They would be a great addition to the carbon door sills.

The only option I might not get, that you have selected, would be the multi function wheel. The controls aren't that great. But, definatly keep the thicker steering wheel.

Oops. Post fixed.

To add a comment on the the multifunction steering wheel. It's pretty poorly designed. It's counter-intuitive, and besides telephone functions that I use once in a blue moon, it's pretty pricey. I'm not sure how much into modding you are, but I'd consider a techart or rinspeed aftermarket steering wheel.

Sounds like a great car. I was suprised by how many people do not like parking assist. I have become very thankful for it in my Ford 4x4 pu and since I live in a rural area with very few parking problems, when I drive into the city, I love having the help!
Can anyone post a pic of what it looks like on the 997?

What do you guys think of the new GT2 Seats available from Porsche *Sport Bucket Seats* compared to the Adaptives?

Also Wanted to Add Red Stitching to Doors, Seats, And Dash but could not find the option in the configurator.

Kill the park assist, seat back painted (ineterior is black. won't stand out), and instrument surround in black. I would add alcantara inserts on the seats, red gauges, carbon fiber steering and shift ****, and add some carbon fiber pieces here and there to give it some accents. The door sills with the Turbo logo is a waste. I have my black/black 997tt built that way, but with yellow accents. Just arrived at the dealer today. Can't wait!
