iPod and the 997 Turbo?
Hi all,
Appologies if it has been posted already - but I couldn't find much in the 997 Turbo section on the iPod.
I have an iPod Classic, want to connect it up with the car's stereo system. What is the best way? Is there anyway that I can scroll songs/tracks from the steering wheel buttons? Is there a standard line-in socket anywhere?
Many thanks in advance.

The Dension has a cool aux input box, but that is the end of the positives from the Dension unit. Plus didn't Dension pull out because they couldn't seem to make a reliable product? NavTv all the way, at least they are there for ya.
what would that be about?

Eric, I can't seem to get my unit into configuration menu anymore. I'm using the latest 2.05 firmware, latest Ipod firmware and tried the toggle multiple times and no dice. Any suggestions? I've also reset the unit using a pin in the tiny aux unit hole.
I'm not sure why you don't seem to think that the Dension unit works well. I have it in mine and it works absolutely perfectl I couldn't be happier and definitely recommend them with two big thumbs up!

i installed a nav tv unit in my 997TT and it works great. best on the market from my research. very easy to use and an easy install.
btw, i have a brand new unit for sale. i bought three of them for myself and two friends and one backed out. it retails for $750 (it's the aux. unit) and i just want my purchase price $500 (was able to buy them wholesale).

Nav-tv doesn't really make it easy to do firmware upgrades. You actually have to physically remove the unit and send it back to Nav-tv for upgrades. That's bad design in my opinion. Their interface leaves much to be desired too.
don't know what you mean by firmware upgrades. my unit works just like the radio or cd and just plugged into my car's system. if you mean future upgrades, i don't know about that, but why would i need to do that anyway. i bought the nav tv because it was the easiest to install and had the best recommendations.
