Congratulations for getting a very nice car, the White looks terrificly good on the 911 and with the rear carbon fiber rear spoiler adding a very nice contrast making it look extremely sporty.

Enjoy it in the best of health and drive safely as you get suited to the car. By the way I noticed yellowing on the protective film that is placed on the arches are you going to get those changed ?

Thanks for the kind words. Re: the film, yes its yellowing. Exactly the same thing is happening to my GT3, and both cars are just over a year old. It must be something with the climate here (very humid, very hot). I see you're from Kuwait, do you get similar issues there? I think it shows up easily on white cars...

My dealer offered to change the film on my GT3 under warranty, but the film will just yellow again after a few months, so it seems too much trouble. I'm driving the car more than I am looking at it, so its ok I suppose!

Yes in fact it only happens on white cars and I think climate and dust have an impact towards the yellowing, where these are common characteristics of our region.

Beautiful RT12 - hesp.. I am sure it was nice on the track to have that power delivery come up on the straights...

Come on MeanMachine don't pick on us white cars It's not only happening to the white cars - its only visible on the white cars

I just pulled mine off. Drove me nuts.

I am starting to like white cars especially with black after market wheels, but over here people are always cutting motorists off ,damages the hood and leaves stone chips that keeps the owner regretting why dint he or she go for protective layering/3m film on the hood.

Yellowing isn't bad when compared to the stone chips that you have to see over time.

I hear ya. I have two small chips right now and I am now wishing I had a film on it.

Oh well if it gets bad enough I will repaint.

It happens to all of us, the SLK55 and the Cayenne S have some small stone chips, however the XKR has the full 3m clear guard protection didn't mess things up this time.

Sick ride Hesperus! I'm in Manila at my place in The Fort. Wish I saw your RT12 out here, all I saw was a CLK63 Black Series and a yellow 997tt, and the 2 gt3's at the EDSA dealership.
