Just ordered Orange HRE 890R's

My wife is going to love this! I ordered her an Orange Turbo... it's on the truck headed from Manhattan to Seattle... but the stock turbo rims just weren't doing it for me, so I ordered her some 890R's with saten black centers and RS Orange Lips from wheelexperts! Now all I have to do is wait one more week for the car, and 6 more weeks for the rims!

Heres a pic from the dealership (Manhattan Motorcars).

It's got all the leather... even the turn signal arms... and Alcantara and CF. I will post some pics when it shows up.

I hope the combo works inside, if it doesn't, I will have to switch some trim around.

I ordered it with the illuminated "Turbo" door sills, I have to get those off and put some Orange LED's behind because I'm certain they will be blue.

Seth.

Just the lowering suspension for now... then we will feel it out see if it likes warantee work or not, and then probably tune it... I'm waiting for UMW to start tuning these before I tune it.

Seth,

Let me know when it comes in and I'll come out to take some pictures for you. I wasn't aware that you could get leather on the turn signal stalks too.

Orange HRE wheels? Are they completely orange or chrome lips, etc. That's gonna get a LOT of attention when the wifey takes it out for a drive.

Absolutely, photo's will be fun! (I got a Nikon D3 for christmas, selling my D2X)! I'm going to wait until the rims show up and the suspension goes on before shooting the car... I want to line up the S8, my 996 Turbo S, and the 997 Turbo and have a little German Sausage Fest photo shoot! hehehe.

No, the centers are black... the lips inside and out are orange! I figured the car already looks like a toy in that color, just go all out! Misha had a picture of a yellow one he did with yellow lipped rims and I liked it!

That will be fun...I got a D3 shortly before Xmas too. I'm keeping my D2x and the D1 though. Love the "D" series.

I thought you shot Nikon, I was hoping you weren't a canon shooter! hehehe. Did you pick up any of that new glass... it's serious... nice stuff.

I don't see using my D2X much after playing with the D3... however, I'm also not sure the D3 is as sharp as the D2X was... firmware upgrade probably will fix it.

Now that will look REALLY good. I've been thinking of putting a red lip on mine but not sure how it'd look.

Really? I found the D3 to be much sharper than the D2x by several magnitudes. When I first got the D1 I was absolutely blown away by the pictures I took, the D2x, not so much but with the D3, I'm being blown away all over again.

The only new "glass" I picked up was the 14-24mm lens and let me tell you, it's SUPER-wide! I might get the 24-70mm but I already have the 28-70mm lens which is pretty similar.

Sorry to go off topic.
