Incredible Jason! Like he thought he would actually get away with it? Come on, your the man when it comes to photography. I could look at your car photographs and know that you shot them. Every photographer thats any good has his/her own style and that guy chose the wrong guy to mess with. Jason even if you didn't go to that site he was already busted. Too many car buffs know you and your cars. Your well liked as well. This was the worst possible picture that a person could have copied! Come on...he's not a car enthusiast...can't be.

 

hhahahah i can't believe he actually went through the trouble of watermarking it. I bet he lives no where near newport beach also.

Thanks, as you said, every photographer has his/her own style. I don't know what my style is yet, do you? I try to mix/match as many different styles as possible because I don't want to stick with one signature style just yet. Soon though. The fact that he even chose my pictures and my car already speaks volumes or maybe not. Depends on how you look at it. I know that I need to start adding a watermark to my images and will do so from this point on. Hate to do it but this ******bag proved a that's something I need to do.

 

Atomic80, Out of all the cars and photos on the internet, he chose yours! After getting over the initial anger, I would be flattered!!! Your car is awesome and when you combine that with your unique style of photography, it becomes extremely desirable. Porsche should hire you to create photos for their marketing materials.

Flattered why? Because someone ripped off my pictures, stamped their watermark on them, and tried to pass off both the car and the photo shoot as their own?

The guy's a f*cking thief. We post pictures on the net because we like to share our cars with other enthusiasts...not for some turd to steal, cut and paste.

 

Jason, unfortunately your right about the watermark. You do have a variety of styles and they work well..too well LOL! As you know I like to play around with my camera (love the D300) but a great camera does not make a great photographer. I especially like the rich detail you add to some of your photos and the backgrounds are breathtaking! Jason you remember the photos we shot together at the Marin Headlands last year? Somehow mine got deleted (I accidently reformatted the wrong card). Of all the photos to loose it had to be those! I still can't believe I did that! Usually I back my photos up as soon as I get to my computer but the following day they were nowhere to be found. Anyway, maybe some other time who knows? I can't tell you how bummed I was! It was great meeting you and Larry, I will never forget that day Jason...just a pleasure to meet 2 great guys that have one thing in common......a passion for Porsches!

I have those pictures from that day! I'll email them to you when I get home. That was a good day! I'm so sorry that you deleted your pictures! Next time you accidentally delete/format your card, use a data recovery software to get those pictures! I've done that with some luck.

I'm getting a D300 to use as a second camera for traveling. My brother has one and I loved it so hence that.

 

bbywu, I certainly don't condone the poser's thievery and misrepresentation. What comes around goes around and the thief will get whats coming. He has to live with himself and face the consequences of his actions. Imagine going through life as a poser and never realizing the sweet taste of success and the bounty it brings. That must eat away at the soul. Peace.
