A top tuner has unveiled an epic 850bhp Porsche 911 Turbo – the Gemballa Avalanche GTR 800 EVO-R.
It isn’t a subtle transformation and the Gemballa Avalanche GTR 800 EVO-R shouts loudly about its performance.
Gemballa claims it looks more like the Porsche Carrera GT supercar than the 911 Turbo on which it’s based.
The German tuner has INCREASED the size of the engine from 3.6 to 3.8-litres and fitted bigger turbochargers.
The result is a wild 850bhp and 690lb/ft of pulling power – making it one of the most powerful Porsche 911s we have ever seen.
The Gemballa Avalanche GTR 800 EVO-R has a revised nose, and a bonnet with vents to keep it cool and headlights which mimic the Porsche Carrera GT.
Step around the back and it’s an avalanche on the senses. The dual-platform carbon wing looks like a Le Mans racing car spoiler, and its quad tailpipes are pure pin-up supercar.
The large motorsport-derived wheels are made from three separate pieces, because their combined weight is less than traditional forged wheels.
To contain them, and their ultra-grippy Yokohama tyres, the wheelarches have all been blistered outwards, giving the Gemballa an aggressive stance.
Suspension designed by the expert tuning manufactures H&R, allows the Gemballa’s height off the ground and stiffness to be adjusted.

Should be all one color (black), loose the rise in the hood (ricey). Those lights may be the next generation 911 lights (hope not), however what's not to dig about 850hp +1 for that. MY .02
Let the power and performance do the talking. Less is more with these cars. I’ve noticed a comeback of flats and understated solids. Put a stock white gt3 next to that, I could tell you which one would win my vote. No contest.
The power figures seem quite impressive but I dont think it will be that reliable...a friend of mine owns the older 996 Gemballa 750 Evo and that thing used to breakdown quite often and was sent to Germany for repair a couple of times...hopefully this 997 turbo will be much better..
