Carbon Fiber Center Stack?
Carbon Fiber Center Stack?
Can it be had, any pictures of one? Does it exist?
My wifes car has lots of CF and Alcantara, but needs the radio surround (center stack) in CF... the standard finish is fugly.
Seth.

Seth,
Have never seen one available but WTF ~ talk to Scooter @ Car Nutz (Park Place) and they'll build one for you and you'd never know the difference from factory. His cars are on another planet in terms of modifications.

Another "Bingham" family production.
Scott "Scooter" Bingham is the guy to speak with. His 1000hp Mercedes with Quad-Turbos and full custom CF interior was just outrageous.

The other consideration is that the areas where the buttons are offers little tolerance for any buildup, so this will not likely be seen in carbon.
However, we paint these sections every week, for customers and dealers. We've done body color, alumalook, satin silver, piano black and even satin black, which minimizes the look and gets rid of the busy nature of all the buttons on there. It really is a stunning look once finished. The parts are removed from your vehicle and sent to us, we prep and mask off everything, then we do our custom buildup on the finish, which is 14 stages when done. This can take up to 4-5 days to complete. Then we send back to you for install.
And, I'm in a dealing mood. So email me for a special deal if you decide to go this route.

what type of PCM would go better with carbon air vents? leather vs painted exterior color (that would be white for me) ? I was thinking to get rid of my aliminum look PCM for a better look, and I was considering the leather one until now, but that white one looks good. What you guys think?
did you have any chance to get interior photos? Exterior looks stunning, i can't wait to see the rest

You'd just have to find someone locally who can take apart your PCM very CAREFULLY because there are lots of buttons! I was going to do that to mine but I never managed to find someone who could do that. If you do manage to find someone, Seth, let me know.

Any pictures of the center stack in leather?
Seth
I would like it in Carbon, but if it's available in leather that might be sweet too, everything that couldn't be had in CF or Alcantara was done in leather. The interior has at least 25K in upgrades alone.
If FVD will can get me gauges (and they are checking, I told them to name their price) in Orange, then I will do the stack in Orange and an Orange RS rollcage will go in as well.
I also need to source those GT2 seats. The CF ones with the belt loops and the side airbag. I have the 997 GT3 seats without airbags in my 996 (but my air bag is in the doors on a 996 so that works). I would like my wife to have side airbags.
Erik (Plug Guy), do I send you the whole unit?
Seth.

Seth, you should have come to me for help on putting together the car. It's too late now but in the future, come to me. I'm well versed on these cryptic Porsche options! Do you have any ideas who could take apart the PCM to get painted by bumperplugs?
You might want to consider getting this setup..isn't it pretty?

I too want that part in carbon fibre, but I guess I'll have to settle for leather (which does look damn nice).
On the car configurator on the Porsche website is that leather option "PCM Package in Leather" @ $2070?
