How do you figure that the porsche would have a higher top speed?

assuming that the 6th gear on that e46 M is overdrive at .82, it should be able to go about 183MPH (M3 final drive is 3.64, tires 255/40/18). With the HPF kit, i'm sure it has enough power to drive 6th to redline.

what does the turbo top out at?

193 mph stock.the coefficient of drag is most likely less than the m3 also.

Got bored with the car really, plus after i put in close to 50k in that car and the very first race i got my butt handed to me, I never really liked the car so i parted it out 1500 miles later.

The real strength of the E46 is as a 50/50 track platform

Sorry about that. You were a good sport about it however. All of the Porsche guys at this meet were awesome, and that GT3 looks amazing.

Anyway... On that day we were running around on 91 octane w/methanol injection at around 700rwhp. We're going to turn that up to around 750rwhp on pump, 800rwhp on 110 octane and 850rwhp on 110 octane and methanol. The computer automatically takes car of the 4 maps and methanol is detected automatically.

On the other Porsche race against the HPF stage 1 that someone mentioned, stage 1 only produces 425rwhp on pump (600rwhp race fuel) due to the 11.5:1 compression, and the driver was running pump and spinning his tires. He later upgraded to stage 2 which yields around 550rwhp on pump and 630rwhp on race fuel. Those two cars are planning on racing again this weekend and publishing the results.

With stage 3 we dropped the compression, and made 668rwhp on 91 octane and 16psi.

For those interested in a new look for the M3, we'll be at Bimmerfest with a crazy custom wide-body in May. 345's in the rear, 295's in the front.

Take care,
Chris.

See this is what I keep talking about, WTF is up with these turbo owners and their slow *** shifting? That's terrible, look how much time he loses from his turbos despooling!

All things considered, the HPF m3 did awesome!
That's my car I ran a HPF Stage 3 M3, and he did pull on me by 2-3 car lengths or so, but I was running low boost on pump gas, whereas the M3 was running 110 octane. I'll be running him again soon; this time on 100 octane running high boost (1.35 bar). Should be a bit closer this time (fingers crossed). And this time we'll get it on video.

WITH AN NA MOTOR, thank you!!! Nothing can touch the fun factor of a nicely track setup M3 with minimal engine mods!
