AWE 700 kit review
I hate to let this thread stagnate... if AWE can't find a '700' customer who can make the July 5 drag races, there are test & tune events almost every Saturday up at Sacramento. Surely it can't be THAT hard to find someone willing to put up?
ANYONE?
If this makes it easier to find a taker -- I'm now planning to go to the 12-4p Friday 7/4 T&T session, because they're a bit more lenient on dragstrip rules. I don't feel like getting kicked off after my first couple 10-sec passes

The last time I took my car to the track I "only" had the protomotive 650 setup. With that I ran 11.02 @ 128 and 11.04 @ 129. I haven't run the current 700HP setup at the strip yet, but it's so obviously faster (i.e. my Sachs stg 2 clutch now slips under full throttle when it's cool) that the visit should be ... entertaining.
I'm still running the tires the car came off the showroom on
No drag radials or "cup" tires, no stripped interior, no missing air filter, nothing. I didn't even adjust the tire pressures. Drive to the track (130 miles away), put on my helmet, do some runs, take off the helmet, and drive home.

and now the guy have a better package 700!
so my question was is he expecting to crack evo's number ?
which is :
as u just mentioned
10.8 and the best trap is a 133.7 for the EVT 700.

EVO seems to build a very stout system. If I recall correctly they ran that pass on 'cup' tires, which would let them launch a bit harder than I can on the stockers. That said, I expect to come very close to their numbers -- whether I beat them or not will depend on the weather, traction, and of course the nut behind the wheel
I continue to be very interested in a head-to-head run, since comparing cars run at different tracks on different days doesn't tell you a lot about their relative performance. Any takers? AWE has gotten AWEfully quiet

Looking forward to seeing your runs Treynor!
