Well you have to remember that in one of the launches he allowed for the Vette to launch first and it stayed ahead for the 1st gear but it was the 2nd and 3rd that just ate it for lunch. I am thinking that it should have been closer or the GT2 is even faster than we realize.

 

After watching this video my friends and I started watching several z06 runs on youtube. We couldn't find any video of another car pulling that hard against a z06. I'm sure the driver had something to do with the number of car lengths, but overall, I am VERY impressed by the GT2.

GT2 is one fast machine. It will take ZR1 to challenge the GT2 in performance.

 

That video is spot-on with my experiences.

I have a 997TT with exhaust/headers/GIAC. From a standstill, I toy with ZO6's. From above 45 mph, it is a different story.

The video is not surprising at all. The ZO6 hooks up about as well as a pimple-faced computer engineer at the AVA Convention in Vegas.

 

I'd love to see a GT2 vs a stock 997TT. The GT2 is a track monster Im sure, wonder how it translates in just raw power on a straight away.

 

For a rwd car, running 3.7 0-60 uphill on cold pavement with a passenger is no joke.

Porsche did wonders with the launch control on the GT2.

 

Gt2 is the king. Again.

 

Z06 has clocked MANY 8 second 0-100 times..........10 seconds is NOT right

the GT2 is a scary car. Blown away by how hard it pulled on that Z06, especially since it was allowed to launch first.

 

i think there was something wrong with the z06. the gt2 should be quicker, but it should have been closer than that.

 

The thing is that GT2 has much more traction at launch due to weight of the engine pushing down on tires and launch control. It is more consistent and Z06 is left spinning its tires behind.
