Wouldn't shutting down threads about the GT-R vs. 997TT comparison go against the law of supply and demand? These threads have been - by far and away - the most viewed and most responded to on this forum over the past several weeks. I am also tired of them and have lost interest. That is why I don't look at them any more. But I am also tired of hearing about what steering wheel and shift **** to order. It doesn't mean those threads should be shut down. If everyone just stopped looking and responding to the GT-R threads the issue would die. Obviously, it is what a lot of people out there want to discuss. This IS a car forum and - given the cover stories in most mainstream car magazines out this month - the GT-R is the hot issue. That, plus the fact that Nissan has openly stated that its goal was to surpass the 997TT, kind of makes it a P-car issue as well. Trust me, I hate the posers and the fanboys as much as anyone. But you can't ignore the relavancy of the issue nor its incredible popularity.

You can't just shut the threads down. But reorganizing them into a single debate thread - maybe a sticky - would be a smart idea. But policing it would be a pain in the ***.

That's all I ask. Merger them into one thread.

At one point yesterday the first three topics in this section were on the GT-R, and 5 out of the top 9.

That is rediculous and needs to be dealt with.

I agree that merging them into a single thread and then relegating all GT-R related posts into that thread would be a good idea.

Why not have a seperate forum. All the threads can be moved to that forum and if any 997TT owner doesn't want to look at them, they don't have to go into that forum. I'm also interested in maybe buying an EVO so it will give me someplace to ask about it other than the Concept car forum which doesn't really apply anymore.

If people stop responding to the GT-R threads they will go away.
