good advise about the seperate account. i would fear even if your bank confirmed that the funds could not be returned, that person may not have the last say.

open a seperate account at another bank. have them wire the funds and take the money out after 24 hours. then close the account.

i personally sold a car through a consignment house. much easier and effortless for out of state and foreign sales. i just put the sale price a little higher to cover the fee.
