Tubi on a 997tt cab?
My 08 tt 6 speed went in yesterday for tubi and ecu upgrade. Am a little afraid may to be to loud BUT my dealer swears by this exhaust. Will give my impressions asap. In any case after reading all the posts on mods, what I am doing(exhaust and ecu) seems to be the best bang for the buck. I sure hope so. Next project is to install lasar jammer like the M45
Tubi is just coming out w/ tips now but unfortunately they are the strangest (IMO) looking tips I've seen. At first I was told by Champion that the tips would look like the tips Tubi makes for the 997 S but Champion now tells me this is what the Turbo tips from Tubi will look like:
Just got my tubi exhaust--no headers (was told tubi did not recommend headers with their exhaust???) along with giac upgrade (08 tt cab). WOW. The car was no slouch before, but now it seems like it has come awake with a vengence. The seat of the pants experience is really something. I was actually surprised that the tubi system was not to much louder than stock. A little drone around 25-2600rpm but nothing bad. Frankly, with the top down and the wind noise, the tubi system is definitely not to loud. IMHO
Guy across the street gets his next week so I'll decide after hearing his.
Currently running the fabspeed quiet. My neighbour just got his tubi but I haven't been able to connect with him to give it an audition.
