We had a chance to take our 997tt out to Sebring for some track testing this weekend. We ran the car on our 20" Spec Multi wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The car ran great, we logged about 40 laps with no issues whatsoever on the ASR Engineering ECU tune, exhaust, intake.

I've ran this car with and without 360 Forged wheels, and lap times average about the same either way - somewhere in the 2:47 range. I'm no professional driver, nor do I have a ton of experience, maybe 300 laps, but we like to get the cars out there, and document lap times on different variables to see what really works.

Conclusion for the day, road racing on 20" wheels is ok - this is a common question we have "can I track my car on your 20" wheels" Answer, YES. We abused our 997tt at the track for sessions up to 1 hour straight. Speeds on the back straightaway reached 162 mph.

 

you can track with those things!! This is the type of testing that I love wheel manufacturers taking some time to fit into their schedules
