Lewis Hamilton Holds Off Kimi For The Podium Finish!
Lewis won 4 races out of 17 GP starts in his rookie year alone . . . Numbers don't lie. But he has NEVER had the best car. Ferrari has always been superior technologically. And probably always will be.
I like Kimi and think he is probably the fastest driver in F1 right now - not the best, but the fastest. The Ferrari F2008 is simply the most technologically advanced racing machine in the world. That coupled with his quickness should result in a lot of wins. Now he just has to wake himself up more than 20 minutes prior to qualifying.

Huh? He didn't win at Sauber and besides 2005 he was far from a power-house at McLaren. He is winning now BUT WITH THE BEST CAR. With all due respect, I don't really understand how you can say he has proven he can with without the best car. Since entering F1 in 2001 and with 122 GP starts under his belt, Kimi has had 14 Grand Prix wins in his career prior to the 2008 season. He had no wins with Sauber in 17 GP starts, 8 wins with McLaren in 88 GP start, and 6 wins with Ferrari in 17 starts. So when he clearly didn't have the best car - with Sauber - he didn't log a single win. But with McLaren, he had 8 wins (albeit in 88 starts) and with Ferrari he has 6 (with only 17 starts). It would be hard to argue that McLaren and Ferrari have not had at least 2 of the top 3 programs in F1 since 2005 (Renault being the other). So ALL of his wins have come with either the best car or close to it.

Usually, in Formula one, driver's are ranked mostly at first against their teammates: this is where Kimi stands out.
Sauber was not winning car, and in Formula 1 it is impossible to win, if You don't have top three cars or big accident or rain etc...
In McLaren, Coulthard couldn't fight Kimi at all. Those years at Mclaren, the car was fast but extremely unreliable. If You happened to follow the races back then, there were over half of the races mechanical issue, but still Kimi managed to be second, if I remember right, only 2 points behind Schumacher, two years.
Now Ferrari is fastest, but McLaren and BMW very close. Kimi & Ferrari= best chance to win championship this year.
Still, want to bet on it?
Ferrari obviously has the fastest cars, they had them last year too, but the reliability wasnt there. They have been faster all through the off season and now into the season, they are still the fastest. McClaren had the lead with consistency last year, with Kimi's failures and messups and Massa's messups, but this year Heikki is showing a lot of promise, but not really producing, two 5ths and one podium while sitting well behind both BMW drivers in points.
McClaren had no problems putting two drivers on podium last year, this year, just not happening. Also brings into question how much of Ferrari's stolen info they acutally used while coming from a distant 3rd in 2006 to whooping everybody through most of last season before the DQ.
