Today I drove my 997TT into my firm's 4 level parking garage for the first time since getting a new exhaust system. I entered on the first floor and decided to take it up to the top level to park away from other cars. As soon as I got into the garage and gave it some gas, I noticed a few car alarms going off on the first level. I thought nothing of it. Then when I got to the second level alarms started going off all over there too! Once I got to level three the entire garage was blaring with car alarms and all of the parking attendants were running around wondering what was going on. By the time I got to the top level I think my exhaust note had set off every car alarm in the structure! I have never heard anything like this. It was so funny!

I suppose this is a good endorsement for the power of a modified exhaust. This never happened with my stock system!!

I am going to bring my HD handycam and capture this on video.

yes. for some reason - certain exhaust notes set car alarms off in confined spaces. this used to happen when I had a ferrari. I used to love it.

 

I ran Fabspeed muffler by-pass pipes for two days ...

Same theory can work for cars...mainly Porsches though can make it happen...

 

Man, I wish I had the same effect on women as my car does on those alarms. But what would my wife say???

 

I used to do the same with Eisenmann on my E60 M5. Biggest mistake for having it on there for a while, but it was so ridiculously loud that I can't say it wasn't fun...

Now thats a funny story you should shift it in neutral and wait for the winds to arrive if sound is a problem.

 

Same here but standar exhaust when passing near my bmw with vibrations sensor alarm.

 

loooool this happens with my VW touareg W12 with tubi exhaust system when i pass in the neighborhood i set 3 cars alarm off
