Best outdoor car cover?

What is the softest, safest car cover for the 997TT that is suitable for outdoor use? The car will be parked under a carport. Thanks for your help!

Porsche has some good OEM covers.

I bought the indoor but they make the outdoor which must be good since its OEM from P.

I personally would not recommend Porsches outdoor cover. It is pretty but quite thin.

I would not recommend the porsche OEM outdoor cover. The material they use isn't soft at all but rather pretty abrasive if your car is dusty. The cover fits on pretty snugly, so it forces you create a lot of contact with the car.

When recommending the OEM outdoor, I was using mine indoor which is great as a guide.

My car is always dust free and the cover looks new.

Its never been washed.

It's hard to believe the outdoor cover isn't as nice as their indoor cover.

Go check out the OEM "outdoor" cover, then you'll agree. There's nothing wrong with the indoor cover.

As a rule of thumb, I only put a car cover on a recently washed or detailed car...it doesn't matter how soft the lining is...any particulates on the car will cause swirls if you don't wash first.

Listen to this guy, he's 100% correct. Always wash your car 1st.

The sad thing is ,, it doesnt stop with the garage.

Then you will get paranoid about inside dust and buy an indoor cover!

It is never ending.

I didnt like either Porsche cover returned both. For outdoors this one is working out real well for me: http://www.covercraft.com/NOAH.htm

There's a covercraft chart at the bottom of this page that is helpful: http://www.autogeek.net/noah.html

But definitely dont use any cover on a car unless it is freshly washed. Even a trip around the block will pick up dirt onto the car especially in the rear and a car cover will leave scratches that you may or not see depending on the color of your paint but they are there.

Good luck.
