gt2 turbos on 997tt

i'm thinking of replacing the stock 99t tt turbos with the ones from the new gt2... anyone have think that would be a bad idea?

Who's going to do the reprogramming?

A much cheaper routeis to purchase modified turbos from an aftermarket tuner, but you will still need ECU tuning.

Exactly. In addition, our modified VTG turbos are bigger then the GT2 units.

DMS was going to do the re-programming....

The AWE turbos have larger intake compressor wheels than the Gt2 units. RUS your picture shows a larger exhaust turbine housing on the left than the right. 2 different animals.

Yes...I know that...but mod GT2 turbos will produce even more power the mod TT turbos....

I considered it at one time . I did not get as far as the reprogram but at that time it was hard just to locate and price the parts. I did not expect it to be as fast as the aftermarket but what attracted me to it was that it was an OEM component which I felt was important enough to ask about.

I have no regrets on having asked a lot of questions before I jumped up the Hp .

Hey Mike! Do you have a picture like GT RUS shown? A photo of OEM 997GT2's VTG and AWE's VTG turbo compare two different szies of exhaust turbine housings between those two. This will help me to show my friend making decision. Thanks!
