i wish they had something like GIAC which can switch the ECU back to stock mode anytime.

From what i've heard, as long as you keep the rev limiter the same, there is no way porsche will know you have had an ECU flash.

Foe warranty claim the spare ECU will not do anything because the dealer can read all the info on what you did to your car, they have something like the black box in the plane. This is why i sent mine to Protomotive to do the map for me and save the cost of the new ECU to buy a new Milltek exhaust.

PIWIS will be able to read the number of times your ECU was re-flashed. If they look, they will know immediately.

No. The only difference is that the hours of use will be different. A properly cloned ECU can not be detected.

Hey Vig, actually doing that same combo here today with a Cargraphic loud.. You can always flash it back to stock if you need to later, yes.

I believe there's an EVOMS dealer local to you and he can help you.

He works at Lengend Porsche in Long Island.

You would flash the stock file back on to the ECU.

would it be detected if it's flashed back to stock? I checked with the Service Dept of the dealer the other day, and I was told it will void the warranty.

Lets just get one thing straight, flashing the ecu voids nothing. However, if you break something directly related to the flash (and that does cover a lot of stuff) they will not cover that specific item.

Flash the ECU and your stereo goes on the blink? Your fine. If your cats ingest a turbine blade...not so much.

For those worried about their warranty one need only ask 'how many problems have we seen on here that are related to the flash?'. I think in the 996 and 997 world of flashed Turbos you would be hard pressed to find one, I could be wrong but I dont hear about them.
