In stock - 3 Sets Available - Bilstein Damptronic Coliovers for 997TT
Honestly, not much. I would just stick with what you have.
Posting from my Palm here as I have no computer access for next few days. LOL Hope message will go through. What happened was that I took a 35 mile drive in the new GT2 and immediately went into shock. That car made the stock Turbo feel like a sterile, boring boulevard cruiser. I actually contacted my dealer to trade for a GT3 (even though I don't like its lack of torque and very sad RMS problem), in case the suspension mod does not work out.I am now grinning from ear to ear. With the mod and Cargraphic exhaust, the Turbo now feels agile, fast, furious, and above all, fun, finally matching its billing as an incomparable daily driver. (On page 5 or 6 of my rennteam thread I compared it against some other exotic cars I recently drove at one of those exotic car driving event.)Weren't you one of the first people to get the Bilstein?Btw my car is not that old. It's a my 2008 and I took delivery in Nov. 2007. So I did not wait THAT long. :-)
LOL - in regards to the shock thing. I still don't get why we didn't get a true adjustable coilover in this car. I know it is a LUXO vehicle compared to the GT3/GT3 lineup but still
It does transform the car. I was an early adopter of the PSS Damptronics but some had TechArts before but I wasn't willing to pay 7/8K for a set of rebadged Bilsteins.
I am very happy I did it. I still would have like to know what the KWV3's would have done but maybe down the road. For now its more than enough for what I plan to do with it.
I think with coilovers and a better alignment the car is more in line with the feel and handling I was hoping for. I had an 01 Turbo in 01 when it was a lemon and it felt more nimble to me than the 997 did. Not as tight but more crisp at turn in.Maybe it was the tires. Who knows now its been so long ago.
Glad you got them and really enjoy them. It just tied the other mods you done on your car to make it the whole package.
