If there is a minimal increase in horsepower, how about the sound factor?
Is there a difference in the sound between different Plenums?
thanks

I didn't notice any, but then I have a loud version of the Cargraphic exhaust.

this may seem like a silly question (and perhaps applicable to most aftermarket mods): why wouldn't P do this in house -- it's such a simple re-design -- are they really skimping on a part like this? large-scale production this part is super-cheap to manufacture.

If every car maker engineered its cars for max performance we would have no decent aftermarket parts, no wizards to create the interesting add-on items, no additional performance to achieve, and probably no websites such as these.

You can bet that Porsche as well as others would "skimp" on a few items. They want the big $'s not the "small" ones.

It may have to do with engineering an entire product line, where the TT isnt the top of the line, the GT2 is. And as all GT3s have sunroofs so that the GT3RS can claim to be lightweight, perhaps the TT has an inferior designed plenum compared to the GT2 to allow the GT2 to have the upper hand. I'd love to know if the GT2 plenum is the same as ours or upgraded, then maybe we can just get the GT2 plenum and keep the entire warranty, and I dont see it being much more than $1,000, or maybe I'm just being optimistic.

so a GT2 plenum is okay but IPD voids warranty? this is what confuses me so much -- all these tuners claim warranty won't be voided for a myriad of tweaks and then i read the horror stories.......very confusing.....

The plenum really shouldnt void your warranty. My dealership installed it & my exhaust said neither would be any problem whatsoever. ECU is another story. But I imagine all circumstances can be different & if they're dead set on giving you a problem they probably can.

Dealers have to conform and comply with PAG so I am perplexed when I read posts that state after market dealer installed. My Porsche dealer says no way this is happening.

And there are QA inspections and drop in visits happening all the time..SURPRISE!!

"My Porsche dealer says no way this is happening." What isn't happening? PAG compliance? What are the terms and limits of PAG on aftermarket anyhow? I mean explicitly, not "I believe" or "should" or "shouldn't" "kinda sorta maybe".

Because Turbo Mike holds the Patent on the design. That means he gets paid on every p-car sold.
