That rear looks extremely sexy!!

 

I think the face-lift will be a MY2010 available in early 2009.

 

Looks good, shame about the demise of the GT1 block though.

 

Looks like my '08 is a keeper.

the blue one is a bad photoshop. the side mirrors change for 09 onwards and the exhaust tips also changed.
The black turbo shows the changes however, looks fine outside of the ugly dumbo side mirrors.

The 996TT's will have found their footing with the demise of the GT1 block, if this is in fact true....

The GT1 will be a an engineering legend not unlike the 427 side oiler (still develops 750hp today) or the Dodge 426 Hemi which still develops 800hp in modern-day trim.

Difference here is that the fabulous GT1 will achieve the same HP figures (may I have a pair of larger bolt-on compressors and a software upgrade please?) with disgusting smoothness and daily driveability while achieving 25mpg when you're not on boost all of the time. By that measure, the iron legends of yesteryear don't really stack up.

Bout time - gonna look great, it will make all previous year models look very dated when compared

On a side note, the panamera is disgusting looking, looks like a dodge... magnum - nasty

 

i have an 09 being built this month with october delivery and it has the GT1 engine and pdk was not an option. from all i have read, i am glad to get one of the last of these engines.
