Jesus man what's up with you? I gave you legitimate track talk. Stewards gave you legitimate track talk, few others gave you legitimate track talk but of course we are all clueless and you are the genius behind the wheels. It’s always the same with you. You have to stick your all-knowing gob into everything and be right. Hamilton screwed up period and got penalized for it. And people can appeal till they are blue in the face it won’t make any difference. He did not give Kimi a notable let he was entitled too, period. And you must be totally dimwitted not to have seen this. I have no idea why are you arguing this point as I have been told you are doing quite well on race tracks. Apparently you can drive, but clearly you are either just lapping or not racing because if you were racing I cannot believe if you put yourself in Kimi’s shoes you would not get pissed off with Hamilton! So, someone overtakes you straight over grass, doesn’t really give you a pass and then slipstreams you. That’s ok for you is it? For your information I think Hamilton is the best driver out there at the moment but what is right is right and he screwed this one up. However, Hamilton’s supporters don’t want to admit it and you are clearly one of them! .

This isnt about you or me, why cant you get over that? Insecure maybe? So because the stewards, who's resume's arent jack, say it make it true?

These dudes have no background in racing, kind of like your knowledge of it. Maybe you should apply to be a steward, would keep things consistent.

Sorry you dont know anything about me to know what I would have done in that situation. It's easy to preach from the stands. But different when you've actually been there. You seem a little bitter, why dont you go for some tea?

Yes that's exactly what I will do have a cup of tea. I give up, you win, the argument that is. . However we must meet on the race track once, it's such a shame you are based in the USA. I was just wondering do I race you with my car or with my bike but I guess roller-skates will do? So, you are welcome to the Nordschleife (Track-time and beer is on me) just give us a shout when ready so we can end this BS of yours once and for all.

I won't claim authorship of this but found it amusing:

" Hamilton was penalized after stewards decided he had not driven a Ferrari and therefore was not allowed to win on a circuit closest to Michael Schumacher's home town. Hamilton was also criticized for driving too fast in the rain and repeatedly passing a red car. McLaren plans to appeal the decision, as soon as they can rename themselves Scuderia McFerrari, in order to comply with the current regulations."

I don’t see where any penalty should apply; period. Close racing has caused similar circumstances many times without any consideration of a penalty.
While I am a fan of Ferrari, I think this penalty was would not have been considered if the cars were reversed.

McLaren file official appeal against Hamilton's penalty
09 September 2008

The Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team filed an official appeal against the penalty handed out to Lewis Hamilton by the race stewards at Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix. Hamilton was given a 25-seconds penalty for cutting the chicane in the final laps of the race.
McLaren believes Hamilton has done nothing wrong in the final stages of the race. McLaren CEO Martin Whitmarsh explains: "Following our decision to register our intention to appeal the penalty handed out to Lewis Hamilton by the FIA Stewards at the 2008 Belgian Grand Prix, we hereby confirm that we have now lodged notice of appeal."
Hamilton describes the incident as follows: "In the closing stages of the race I was catching Kimi consistently, lap by lap, and with three laps remaining I got close enough to attempt to overtake him on the entry to the last chicane. I managed to get slightly ahead of him in the braking area for the first apex of the chicane. He fought back approaching the second apex - but, in doing so, he left no room for me on the inside line. The only way for me to avoid a collision was therefore to cut inside the second apex.
"I came out of the second apex in front of Kimi and so I momentarily lifted-off on the straight, to ensure that Kimi got back in front. The team also came on the radio and instructed me to allow Kimi to repass, which I had already done. As a result, Kimi crossed the start/finish line ahead of me and 6.7km/h quicker than me.
"After allowing Kimi to completely repass, I crossed from the left side of the track to the right side of the track, passing behind Kimi in the process. I then attacked Kimi on the inside of the first corner, and successfully outbraked him."

Martin Whitmarsh added: "From the pit wall, we then asked Race Control to confirm that they were comfortable that Lewis had allowed Kimi to repass, and they confirmed twice that they believed that the position had been given back in a manner that was 'okay'.

"If Race Control had instead expressed any concern regarding Lewis's actions at that time, we would have instructed Lewis to allow Kimi to repass for a second time."

GAME OVER.

Indeed – case closed and this onboard video proves my point. It took Hamilton 6 seconds to let Kimi by. Jesus guys give it up, I have no idea which planet are you coming from, but 6 second in F1 is f%#”-ing eternity. After finally letting Kimi pass, he quickly positioned himself right behind him, entering Kimi’s slipstream and passing. Yes video proves Hamilton was faster (that was obvious) and yes excellent driving but after he went off track he should immediately back off and let Kimi pass. He knew he was off track and made non-legit pass he is not an idiot. An immediate off throttle was in order not a 6 seconds bloody drive alongside Kimi! He would get Kimi anyway at the end of the next straight (if he wouldn’t **** up gear change). . So very foolish of him, and he will learn to make an obvious let if this happens again. No appeal will help him and I think all this whining is a bit boring now, Hamilton be a man and take it on the chin. The rest is a pointless debate amongst fans and non-fans! Enuf said. .<O</O

Oh, so sorry. Here's a little afternoon entertainment that perfectly describes you and the sycophantic Ferrari employed FIA stewards:
