No, the exhaust doesn't help with the boost lag at all, there is hardly any boost lag from the car from the factory. In your post, you are implying the exhaust helped tremendously with the boost lag which is not the case. If anything, the modded exhaust gave an extra 5-10 HP at most...which I doubt is the case.

PS: If you ever have any free time, I'd like to see those GT-R's with broken tranmissions...

Since when does a free flowing exhaust not help a turbo car with spool considering turbos are spooled on exhaust gases?? The same reason Turbo cars get so much MORE power and less lag when they add exhaust compared to just ECU changes. This is a constant as far as I know.

There are a few broken trannies on Nagtroc, and the one that was tested against the GT2 broke right after the test. You can use the seach feature, not going to look them up for you.

The exhaust helps but the point I was trying to make is that the GT-R has barely any lag from the factory. It just keeps going....

I looked at the first 2 pages of the GT-R forums and didn't find anything so everything must be going good..

The engine has sequential turbos with variable turbine geometry and electronic control at low RPM to prevent turbo lag. Combine that with very fast dual clutch transmission and you have a car with virtually no turbo lag.

To put it simply, computer helps control the boost level.

Who cares if some Aston and Maserati owners have their exotic allure and say that Porsches are a dime a dozen or that they're simply "german vettes" that come fully equipped with the illusion of prestige -- with the premium price to match, of course. Those guys are just ******bags who feel the need to put down other makes to jus... oh. Okay. Awkward.

Bottom line is, that you'de be the first in line for a TT if you could afford one.
