Look at it this way...They are way cheaper now than upgrading later and you get more resale back later.

Jokes aside in my opinion the diff. can be felt while pushing the car. As far as the brakes drive a 997TT with both brakes. One is good and one will put you through the windshield!

Keep looking. I am sure you can find one with both. In these economic times, and with the 09's now rolling out, there should be plenty available. Post a wanted post and I am sure all the 6speeders will help you out and help you find exactly the car you are looking for.

Like I explained many times before...This change is due to much lower customs imports duties for 3 year old cars...going to tune and import in 2009...

You misunderstand me. I'm talking about changing from an automatic to manual car? We've heard you go on about wanting the fastest 0-60, 0-100 60-130 straight line car...the TipS cars don't have a LSD...so I figured you were changing to a 6 speed.

I want more POWER and with big turbos TipS will feel lazy around town...

IF VTG kit then def TipS...cause its faster from dead stop...630 HP Techart from 3000 Rpms runned 10.78 here...constantly and with 6 speed you will be lucky to run low 11s most of the times...

I have a 996 GT2 which comes with ceramic discs as standard. I get brake dust because brake dust comes from the brake pads and not the ceramic disks! The ceramic discs do suffer from stopping power when cold and need to reach temp to work well. This is easy to achieve as you just stamp on the brakess a few times as you reach 30+mph. One disadvantage with ceramic brakes on the track is if you run off into the sand pit then the sand can damage the ceramic discs whereas it woint affect steel discs.

my car does not have LSD and i am very pleased with the performance. i don't think it would make a difference either way. as for the latest generation of PCCB's, i think they are well worth the money!

I think LSD is not need it straight like acceleration but on the track it could help..I think the car will be more controlable...

Anyone drove 997 TT at the track with and without LSD ???
