DR should retest on Silverstone, they tested the GT2 and GT-R with different drivers on different days, Chris Harris in the GT-R. The GT-R shouldnt have been that close to the GT2 on any circuit, and it's becoming more and more obvious.

Big deal, so GT2 beats GTR...whoo hoo....Why don't they test the turbo against the GTR on the Nurb? I wanna see if Porsche is right with their claim that the turbo is faster around the Nurb with their engineer test driver. The GTR was meant to compete against the turbo - not the GT2. That honour is reserved for the V-spec.
The 7:29 in the GTR is possible - but only in ideal conditions and in the hands of Toshio Suzuki. He has more seat time in the GTR on the Nurb than any other person on the planet, so he knows the limits of the car like the back of his hand.

I love it....

The GTR trolls hate the fact that a GT2 beat the GTR, the porsche engineers tested the 997TT vs the GTR and beat it and the best of all is seeing the ZR1 absolutely humiliate the GTR. I know I know, it's not a fair comparison, wait till the v-spec gets here bla bla bla...

and then of course there is this...

Nissan needs an entire pit crew and a semi full of parts to get that POS around any track. I can't believe the fools who actually buy it and then mod it!

As for the GTR comparison with the 997TT when Nissan can make a car that has a 20,000 mile service interval that will be a true comparison. Try and find a posting for a blown Porsche motor...

I would love to see a GTR be moded to do this with bolt on parts, it's never going to happen. I don't think it would make it ten feet.

Well, the GT-R has been out in U.S. for four months, and there are lots of kits that will get you into the 10s without using LC.

I looked at the site..

I can't believe how many posts there are regarding trouble with the car, I found most of this crap on the first page.

If this won't give you pause about moding the GTR I am not sure what would. I doubt that anyone in there right mind would want to buy this car used as well.

The car is becoming a PR nightmare for Nissan.

Class Action Lawsuit, Launch Control /Void Warranty /Transmission Failure

Unstable Transmission Oil Pressure?, Is this normal?

Annoying Brake Squeel...

Turn-off Traction Voids Warranty?

Did everybody sign a waiver/disclaimer ?

Is It Hot In Your Cabin?

Is Transmission Oil To Blame For Tranny Failure?

Annoying dashboard rattle

But not many 10 sec GTR's world wide, I think there are only 1-2 10 sec GTR's (all modified and probably t its limit).

What does that tell you about the software programming when within the first week they have a TUNE for it already and Cobb has been working several variants for it as they tweak and tune and install it on customer cars and then update them as they go. Not knocking on Cobb as they are doing some great numbers but at what cost? Animal house has built the "stronger" gears and said they would NOT break? They will if you stress them hard and long enough anything will give. What is the cost of these gears? Many have guessed 10-15K before installation. Who can install them? Voided warranty on the complete driveline with these installed.

Look at the guy with a check engine light at Nagtroc. Nissan won't even replace his damn GAS CAP to see if it is the problem? Now he has to resort to buying an Access Port just to see if he can get to the problem? Give me a Freakin break you Moronic Fanboys this is what you expect? Why? Because it is a Nissan?

Heat from the hump? called cheap heat shielding. First year car so expect squeaks, rattles, heat, blown tranny, low to high oil pressure, low to high tranny pressure(which is somewhat normal but not as normal as it should be). Brake Fade reported multiple times from people tracking it. DR also said the same thing. How long of a cool down do you need? Lets try endurance racing Nissan.

Chrisn you are not part of them when I say this. You have been calm and collected throughout this. If I had purchased this car as I was considering it when it came out then I would have been so frustrated and would have joined the lawsuit. I would have never signed a disclosure/waiver and told them to shove it.

I know Porsche is like a religion to some of the people on here (they appear to derive their self-worth from the badge on their car and can't face a bit of their ego being chipped away every time someone suggests something else might be better), but this board is about as open-minded and balanced as a Klan convention.

Trommel you derive self worth by coming on these threads to share your bias all the while trying to pretend to take a neutral stance. Do yourself a favor and leave as it seem this board does not have any open-minded members.

First you bash the cars, then you bash the forum members, and now the forum itself.

"Klan convention?" - ban...
