Installing sport pedals - how to?

I purchased a set of sport pedals recently and last night we've tried to install them but had some problems about the acceleration pedal. There are two screws on the sport pedals and i supposed to drill two holes on the original pedal to get them fitted. But when we tried to drill the down hole of the pedal, we see the screw will going to touch to the kick-down button if we put it there and beside this, there are no place that we can enter and tighten the screw in the back of the pedal at that area, it's fully closed as you can see on the photos. We could not figure it out and ended up going back to original look.

So how will I do that? Are there any instructions with photos?

Thanks in advance

Is this what you are asking about? http://www.rennline.com/products.asp?dept=336

Trying to see if I could help but having a hard time seeing exactly what your picture shows. What are you showing in your picture?

I have a rennline pedal installed, no problem at all.

Yes that's it. It's not a good picture, sorry about that. It's my acceleration pedal (removed it completely for more comfortable installation). And it's the down-back side of the pedal on the photo which supposed to have a screw tightened. but there is no place i can enter from the back of it to tight the screw. Hope it's a little clearer now

Yours is the rennline, correct? I post about the installation here: http://www.rennteam.com/forum/thread...lem/page1.html

I am not sure if we are talking about the same thing, but the screw to hold the rennline plate onto the gas (acceleration) pedal does NOT need a bolt to hold it in place. It is a tapered screw that screws onto the plastic surface of the gas pedal; it's not a bolt that needs a nut in the back.
Hope this helps and hope I am making sense.

In the picture enclosed, the black screws are the ones I am talking about.

I took a look on your installation photos, but since your car is a manual, it does not have kick-down button right back the area you drilled, that's the main thing I'm having my problem now. My acc. pedal has two drills in the middle (one up, one down) and down one is too close (maybe right front) to the kickdown button.

Probably need to send an e-mail to Gert at Carnewal and explain your problem. It sounds as though you have a Tiptronic. If so, be sure and tell him that.

Don't forget to use a punch or awl to mark your drill points, and use painters tape over the pedal before you start drilling.
