My First Porsche
My First Porsche
Hello everyone, I have been a member of this site for quite awhile now and felt it was about time for me to share some pics of my first porsche. It is a 2007 997 Turbo that I purchased about 3 months ago. It had very low miles and was optioned nicely. Since buying it, I have installed what I guess could be considered an AWE stage 2+ kit. It included headers, exhaust and GIAC flash.
I will post my opinions regarding the Kit itself, the install and the difference in performance over the stock car in another post if anyone is interested. I also put on some Maya 20 inch rims with Michelin Pilot Sport tires as well as tinted the windows. The interior is stock with the exception of Alpines latest head unit, JL Audio ZR series speakers in the fronts and rear and a JL Audio 8 inch sub in a custom ported sub box. The Head unit is connected to Alpines new Imprint sound processor which utilizes Home theatre technology to tune the system to the interior of the car. It is all powered by JL Audio amplifiers mounted in the front trunk compartment.
Coming from highly modified and customized Z06 corvettes, I can only say that the 911 is everything I hoped it would be and then some. They really are different animals. I considered keeping them both initially but reality sank in and I realized that the Z06 would have never gotten driven.
I just finished with my first attempt at detailing the paint and thought I would try and post some pics for your review. I am trying to get better at taking pictures some cut a newby some slack.
Enjoy, and thanks for a great site.

I got a black one as well and I was about to buy those rims too but I decided for some Zone 9's. One suggestion would be to lower the car doesnt look right IMHO.
