WOW. If I thought that about my tt I would run to sell. I can't begin to tell you how much I disagree. By the way it is like vettes, if you don't really know porsches, no one can really tell the differences from year to year.

 

I would hope that somewhere in Steve's statement was a poor attempt at humor. It is like dating a girl who has a great heart and mind but you want to turn off the lights when you see her. Why do it.

I agree in that it's better at reduce the hair pulling understeer on the 996 TT, but how much of the total improvement is the AWD and how much is the actual suspension changes, stiffer chassy, more power? In fact, have there been any comparisons on the same track between the two to see a realistic gap? I'm asking because I really don't know.

I hate the RWD conversion to be honest. To much work to make an honest car out of it. Anything less than what Tom Kerr has done is only beneficial on the strip or in a street race.

 

It's hard not to think Steve has a very dry sense and wicked sense of humor and is pulling our chain.

That I can agree with. The 997 is a beauty. But there are 100's of pics in the 996 TT thread that are sexy too.

IDK Steve your car sure looks good to me every time I see it. When I saw it on Friday it was dirty and still looked good.
