They can be had (07 model) in the 80s now but a good example with nice options/colors goes in high 90s. I am hunting for a white one as well.

The ranges in price can go anywhere from as low as 80K to as high as 120K depending on miles , options and condition of the car .

There is no way I would want to risk the 80K purchase at an auction only to drive home grinning with a bargain smile and face 30K worth of warranty voided repairs and finding gaps and overpray on my new car. No way!!!

Any Turbo that crosses 10K miles takes its first depreciation hit . Add paint and it increases . The next huge drop is after 50K miles .

Psychologically buyers want sub 10K mile Porsches. It does not mean a 12K car is bad but it does soir the taste . Trade one in and you;ll find oit that i am right . I am on my 8th Porsche.

Finding a used Turbo opens the door to making a big purchase and hoping that the last driver cared for the car . Big risk . It's not like buying aused Honda beause if you plunk down 100 +K you want things right.

I know of one Turbo that I can vouch for the how the owner cared for his car . It lacks the axle lock option but is a car that he babied to no end . He rarely drove it and never modded it and most of the time it sat in his garage with a car cover. That's why he no longer kept it --it made no sense to keep the car.

I have no idea what the dealership will sell it for but it is located in Norcal at Niello Porsche and is a white Turbo .

Get the car inspected , Do a DME scan . You'll see the car is in top shape .

If he is looking for a Tiptronic my buddy in Miami has a 2007 997 Twin Turbo Black/Black, 7k $140K sticker. Can be had for cheap like $85k. The market is a little soft on exotics right now. Great time to buy!

Newbie questions

Please entertain newbie questions:

What are examples of warranty voided repairs and how to look for them?

What is a DME scan? Where is that done?

Thanks.
