Spyder Wheels

Does anyone have them on their turbo? If so, are you satisfied? Post pics please.

Thanks.

I am working on a potential order for 2010, and these are the wheels I would like to have on the car. I have not seen them, but the pics look amazing, IMO.

Alex, thanks for the thread. Got to see the wheels on a porsche in paris.

They do look different, and I still think they are better looking than the turbo wheels.

What do you think?

IMHO, just about anything is better looking than the stock Turbo wheels.

I love the stock rims. I think porsche is one of the few OEM's that actually spends time on design.
If you go aftermarket, why in world would you spend 12k for the spyder wheels?
I can't see one positive and they aren't even that attractive.

The spyder wheels supposedly will be @ $4k cost increase if you order car with them, but it can cost up to $12k to convert a regular turbo to those wheels. Or so I've been told by my local dealer.

Now, as for the HRE P40, those are also very beautiful rims. Are the tires same size as the oem turbo wheels that come with the turbo?

I drove my new Turbo straight from the OPC to my HRE dealer where they swapped over the tyres and TPMS sensors.

If you go for the 19" rims then no fitment issues what so ever and the P40 dimensions are almost exactly the same as the OEM wheels so that warning you get in the handbook about aftermarket wheels messing up handling becomes a mut point.</click>

One great things about the 997TT is all of the quality wheel choices. Owners can go for whatever look they are trying to achieve (including keeping the stock wheels) and the car still looks great.

I still think the 997TT wheels are more polarizing than lots of other stock wheels though. Look at the RS4 - a very high percentage of the people think the stock wheels look the best. On the 997TT, the wheels are often the first mod. You are lucky you like the stock wheels becasue the aftermarket options are all expensive.
