Condensation in Headlamp
Condensation in Headlamp
With all this rain we have been experiencing in Texas, I noticed that the lower part of my headlamps have been fogging up. The condensation dissapears after about 15 minutes in the garage. Is this typical? I did a search on the forum and a member awhile back had posted that there are vents in the back of the headlamps in which moisture can come in and exit.
Common, not necessarily the seal. Humidity does it, make sure the breathing holes are not clogged on the back. Its impossible to prevent in places like TX, I tell you that much!
Pull the little rubber hose off and check for clogs on the plastic part of the lamp assembly, there is a paper piece sometimes it is not removed at the factory which prevents the lamp from breathing - even the sidemarkers have the breathers and the two pairs Ive seen (the clear ones) were clogged from the get go.
