Lowered + Aftermarket Sways = Knocking Sound?
I've been to enough different places that I dont think its anything seriously mechanical, just annoying.
As for the tire wear, the majority of this was done in two days, so the outside edge was all that was worn as you can see, front and rears look equally bad:

My suspension specialist says he doesn't think it's the drop links causing the clunck.
It is most likely to be the Top mount and or where the spring meets the top mount. It might be as simple as putting in a nylotron washer between the spring and top mount. Bilstein do provide this washer but only for the help spring.

Try to jack the car up on the weekend and clean out the area above the spring perch with a towel. This should help it seat better. It sounds easy dump but thats what I did and it really helped. Just need to do it yourself to make sure its done.
I'd be curious if you can reproduce the knock while the suspension is not under load. Turn the wheel while the car is on the lift, does it knock then? You can slowly lower the car to increase load and see where it starts to knock. You may also be able to hear where the knock is coming from more easily.
I've got the same 'knocking' sound, and I only have H&R springs.
Gettings the 'mounting' over the shocks (or whatever that is) replaced. Plus some bearing(s) too. No idea, just got the call that the parts are in. Will be working on it this weekend with my tech guy. Will update.

Did the nylotron washer fix the problem?
Just a suggestion here. As mentioned I have not had this clunk noise problem in my car which has the following components: Bilstein lowered about 10mm front and rear, GMG sway, Tarett drop link with (metallic) heim joint.
I recently switched to stock drop links to evaluate again the effect of the drop link on suspension feel, and do not have clunk noise with these rubber-joint links either.
Anyone with this noise problem, especially those in Los Angeles, might want to give my tuner (Lucent Motors - ask for Tom) a call? Not suggesting that he could solve any problem, but besides being a super nice guy who would talk cars with you anytime, maybe he'll have something to add? (Lucent is well known and reputable Porsche tuning shop in Southern Cal; I trust Tom 120%.)
And of course, I didn't give out Lucent number; google
did!

inspect the clearance between the sway bar and the axle. Had the clunk sound when I first did mine (Bilsteins B16s, RSS sways, RSS dlinks) and noticed that since the dlinks are adjustable in length, it's possible that it may have been installed too long. Hence the sways bars will be pushed down a bit leaving little or no clearance between it and the axle.

Can - sorry, I meant the control arm and not the axle. I fixed mine this weekend and installed the new RSS dlinks. Since they're adjustable, I shortened them a bit to increase the clearance between the sway and control arm. All is good now and no more noise.
