Evos and Civics can be pumped up for a drag race. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBWK-oNACyM

On a 40 MPH roll --you'll take him .

Jump to 700 and he's toast . He won't even get you on that 1st gear jump.
I don't know Larry. I have been around modified Honda's and imports all my life and they can be some serious monsters when modified. You can get them modified to 500-700 hp pretty easily. At their weights, I don't know if any 997tt can hang with them.

I have an Si . Stock my M3 will cream it.
Of course anyone can attach a rocket to skateboard but realistically it will not hang with the 997tt 700 at the top end . Who would even want to go that fast in an Evo ? Or Civic ? A little cross wind the car will not be manageable.

Drag race -- close. Much of it is driver skill , clutch control , etc but the 997tt's race is the rolling start.

A rolling start 997tt with serious mods is a monster .

When you do the Gt2 conversion on that clutch even 1st gear you'll pull him.

Different cars for different people. Easy as that.

Btw., hypercars: Enzo, Zonda F, Carrera GT, LP640, Veyron. Supercars: Gallardo, F430, 911 TT...

Modded 997 Turbo a hyper car... Your enthusiasm is great, but I had to pick you on this one... Sorry...

I guess after you get to drive them all and you talk to people that collect them, and then you speak with people that test them for a living you get an idea what an apples to apples comparison is. This is also the reason why most gear heads don't waste their time on the net. Its not really a topic for argument. When you take a supercar and mod it, its no longer a supercar. If you take a car with limited production and a price tag over 500k and mess with it, you need to check yourself into a hospital.
There are few hypercars out there, the Turbo platform just happens to be one of them. I'll let one of the Lambo guys that actually owns an Underground modded car to speak to the ability of that platform.
People don't mod Enzo's, they barely drive em!
BTW: I didn't come up with the term Hypercar and there is a little show on TV that tests these platforms against one another on a regular basis, modded and stock. Turbo is always on top. Actually, the 996 platform is on top.

As for the budget cars, GTR is the most interesting and least appealing. The Evo is the best ride, with the cheapest bolt on power. No one I know would be retarded enough to compare an Evo to a TT. Enjoy this thread

Agreed. Not too many cars can compete with a modded tt in the top end, but anything below 150mph.... Watch out. In a drag race, I have to be realisitc. The tt would have a hard time.

I've been in some of these 9 second Civics and I have to tell you, you don't need a cross wind for it to get sketchy.
